Description
Origin: Ethiopia Producer: Smallholder farmers Station Name: Bensa logita Region: Sidamo, Bensa Varieties: Heirloom Process: Washed Altitude: 2200 - 2300 m.a.s.l Flavour Profile: Candied Lime, White tea & Honeycomb This coffee comes from Kokosa, which is a village that surrounds the MOPLACO Bensa Logita washing station. Cherries are purchased from the producers in Kokosa, adjacent to the washing station. Washed process helps this coffee to develop sweeter and more intense flavors. Bensa Logita is a boutique washing station in the highlands of Sidamo. Located in Bensa District, at an altitude of 2100 meters. This station is the experimental hub of MOPLACO Trading. Heleanna Georgalis, who owns and operates MOPLACO trading, purchased cherry from the producers in Kokosa. This model puts the producer first and aims to empower them as well as paying fair prices for their coffee. The station can process around 1800 bags of bright, distinct coffee with deep complexity and aromatics from washed coffees, to honey coffees, experimental lots and great natural processed coffees. Moplaco Trading has four washing stations and drying stations across Sidamo and Yirgacheffe, with hulling equipment and guest rooms so that their clients can come, rest and experiment with them.
