Flavour profile: This coffee makes a sweet and steady cup with a medium mouthfeel. Strong notes of toffee, with roasted hazelnuts and a hint of red apple and a lingering finish of cacao nibs. Farm size: 171 manzanas of which 109 hectares is growing coffee Over the past six years Limoncillo Washed Caturra has become one of the staple comfortable coffees in the Drop Coffee catalogue. It is a reliably steady, comfortable and delicious coffee. The chocolatey and round flavour profile is a favourite of many, and Limoncillo really delivers on those notes, along with hints of roasted hazelnut and the sweetness of toffee. It will still be roasted to a light to medium roast level, so remember to use a high temperature, between 96 - 98 degrees when you brew it. Limoncillo is produced by the formidable, award-winning Mierisch family in Nicaragua, whose work in farming, processing and sustainability we really look up to. Limoncillo has a nursery for their staffs' children and a lot of health support for the staff, but also its nature, with no less than seven waterfalls on the farm makes it unique.
