The social protection policies for coffee growers that govern internal coffee trade give us confidence that the work behind this coffee has been fairly compensated for those who work the land. We are happy to be able to offer a Costa Rican coffee, and particularly this one, with such a characteristic profile of the region that produces it. **Producers**: Various Coffee Growers, Beneficio San Diego, Tarrazú. **Varieties**: Caturra, Catuai. **Processing Technique**: Washed, **Flavor Profile**: Herbal aroma, vibrant malic acidity, notes of strawberry and amaretto, sweet chocolate finish. **Preparation Recommendations**: This coffee has a slightly faster roast profile than our other Latin American coffees, allowing for a bit more expression of its herbal character which complements its almond or amaretto characteristic in a very special way. We recommend this coffee for filter methods, preparing it with high-temperature water, 91 to 94 degrees Celsius, and contact times of 3 to 4 minutes in drip coffee makers. Note that it also leaves its mark in espresso, a bit unbalanced towards acidity but with an intense aroma and a persistent and pleasant finish.
