Los Girasoles began in 2013 when the farmer’s mother gifted each child one hectare of land in El Jardín. Three years later, he planted his first 2,100 Pink Bourbon trees. Driven by a desire to innovate, he later purchased his siblings’ parcels, expanding the farm to four hectares.Today the estate cultivates 6,000 Pink Bourbon and 1,100 Geisha trees under a carefully designed agroforestry system with native shade trees, plantains, avocados, and passion fruit to support biodiversity and natural pollination.For processing, only fully ripe “grape-purple” cherries are selectively picked, floated, and cleaned to ensure optimum quality before entering the Honey process.
