Colombia, Tolima Varietal: Caturra Process: Natural Altitude: 1,500 - 2,150 masl Strawberry, Black Cherry, Dark Chocolate El Indio is a specialty natural-processed coffee produced by farming families in Planadas, Tolima, Colombia. It is cultivated by members of associations such as Asopep and Ascisp, which together represent around 175 coffee-growing families. Since 2019, these farmers have refined their natural processing techniques with technical guidance, carefully drying their coffees on raised beds or patios until reaching the ideal 11% moisture. Grown at altitudes between 1,500–2,150 meters in volcanic clay-loam soils, this Caturra varietal thrives in Tolima’s favorable climate and rich coffee tradition.
