Among the many Ethiopian coffees we introduce at aery, the washed coffee from Mewa Station holds a special place for us. First introduced as our very first Ethiopian coffee, its remarkably vivid floral aroma—unexpected yet memorable—has continued to bring a sense of quiet surprise and delight. Located in West Arsi, near the Helena Forest, Mewa benefits from an exceptional growing environment shaped by indigenous varieties and traditional smallholder farming. Through meticulous selection, extended cold fermentation, and slow shade drying, the coffee reveals bright floral aromatics and refreshing notes of lemon black tea.
